As a result of the severe floods in Cumbria in November 2009, numerous bridges were severely damaged.
RGS have recently completed a number of investigations on the bridges involved. Working at short notice in unusual and difficult site conditions and to strict, often tight, timeframes, we investigated a number of sites and provided data and recommendations
