A Chartered Civil Engineer, Steve Rogers has considerable skill and knowledge from over 40 years’ experience in Geotechnical Investigation and is well known and respected throughout the industry.
At RGS, his involvement spans an extensive range of commercial and practical projects - both in the UK and overseas.
He has also worked as a part-time lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University since 2011, assisting in the teaching of Materials, Highways A and B, plus Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering.
This skill for passing his expertise to the next generation is also strongly in evidence at RGS, where our engineers work alongside Steve, learning from his in-depth knowledge and skill set.
He leads RGS’ highly-skilled engineering department of three engineers, in addition to himself, and oversees operations in the laboratory, which operates daily.
In addition to ground investigation, his specialisms include piling and ground improvement, retaining wall design, slope stability analysis, pile platform design, and expert witness work/consultancy.
Until recently, Steve was a member the technical committee of the Federation of Piling Specialists and has also acted as a Judge for the NCE Graduate Awards 2002 and as an external examiner.
