About Us

Leaders in site investigations and Geoenvironmental services from (under) the ground up!

RGS is an established UK leader in geotechnical solutions - modern, agile and ready for an exciting future.

Since our launch in 2003, we've seen a lot of change. Our business has grown substantially as the word spread further about our service offering to the construction sector. During that time, we've welcomed in more industry experts, keen graduates and young people to work with us, adapting our processes and solutions to meet the needs of an evolving world and client base.

Agility doesn’t change our commitment and we remain focused on delivering the same high-quality solutions to our valued clients up and down the UK that we have done since day one.

ACCREDITATIONS

We employ Citation to give us specialist advice, annually, in regards to Health and Safety. This ensures we keep up to the current standards and provide us with a full health and safety management system, audited every 12 months. In addition to Citation we have a Health and Safety professional who attends monthly to undertake audits, toolbox talks and inductions for new members of staff.

In addition to this, we hold an event every January to welcome back our staff, often referred to as our ‘Health and Safety Day’. This includes new legislation as well as general CPD’s from our Consultant, Steve Rogers.

CARBON REDUCTION & SUSTAINABILITY

Implementing critical business changes doesn't happen overnight – and our green journey is an ongoing commitment. It began seriously in 2015, and while it remains fluid, the steps we've taken between then and now have had an incredible impact on our business internally and externally.

It began by implementing an environmental management system (EMS), identifying ways to increase our energy efficiency and reduce pollution across our business, and then managing our actions ongoing.

Our environmental policy helps our team understand and adhere to our sustainability goals.

Sharing vehicles, holding virtual meetings, providing clear recycling points on our sites, using vegetable oil in our drilling rigs, planting trees to offset our carbon use, and maintaining our fleet and equipment to operate efficiently and with minimum energy consumption. Small steps, but they're making a big difference.
